A one day symposium with four of the most respected professional educators in their fields of nursing, physical, occupational and speech therapy.

Steve Allison - Stephen C. Allison is engaged in teaching, research, and consultation. He holds degrees from Brigham Young University (BS), Baylor University (MPT), the U.S. Army War College (MSS), and The University of Texas at Austin (PhD). He was a faculty member and Director of the U.S. Army-Baylor University Graduate Program in Physical Therapy at Fort Sam Houston, Texas from 1994 - 2001. He has numerous publications in peer-reviewed journals and serves as an Associate Editor for the Journal of Orthopaedic and Sports Physical Therapy. Dr. Allison currently holds faculty appointments at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions, Elon University, and Baylor University. He is a nationally known speaker and an expert on the integration of research evidence with clinical practice.

Marthe Moseley - Marthe Moseley has over 20 years of experience in critical care practice, education, consultation, and research. In addition to her Assistant Professor of Nursing position at Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions, she practices as a Clinical Nurse Specialist for Critical Care at the South Texas Veterans Health Care System in San Antonio. She is active locally and nationally in professional organizations specifically the American Association of Critical-Care Nurses and within the VA system. She is on the editorial board for several critical care journals and has published in peer-reviewed journals and textbooks. Dr. Moseley continues as a co-chair for the Summer Institute for Evidence-based Practice in conjunction with the ACE center in San Antonio. In May of 2005 Dr. Moseley received the National VA Secretary's Award for Excellence in Nursing for advanced practice nurses.

Rebecca Reder - Rebecca Reder is Senior Clinical Director of the Division of Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center. Under her direction, the Division of OT/PT has grown to be one of the largest and most respected in the country. Dr. Reder provides vision and leadership for a division with services in 11 locations and a staff of over 140. She also provides lectures on a national and international level. She is currently working on research investigating the effect of intensive suit therapy on functional skills in children with spastic diplegia. Dr. Reder was one of the main developers of rehab software that won the 1995 International Beacon Award through IBM/Lotus. Dr. Reder received her bachelor's degree in occupational therapy from Ohio State University and her doctorate from Rocky Mountain University of Health Professions.

Anthony Salvatore - Anthony Salvatore is Professor and Chair of the Speech-Language Pathology Program in the College of Health Sciences, University of Texas-El Paso. He has had a rich career as an academician and clinician since completing a two-year NIH Post-Doctoral Research Fellowship at the Minneapolis VA Medical Center in 1976. Dr. Salvatore has numerous publications in the areas of aphasia and language learning systems. He received BS and MS degrees in Speech Pathology and Audiology from Emerson College in Boston, and his PhD in Speech Pathology from the University of Pittsburgh.
